About Mansfield

Mansfield serves as a market town and the administrative hub of the Mansfield District in Nottinghamshire, England. It is recognized as the largest town within the broader and ranks as the second largest settlement in Nottinghamshire, following the city of Nottingham. The town was granted a Royal Charter as a market town in 1227. Situated in the Maun Valley, it is located 12 miles (19 km) north of Nottingham. According to the Office for National Statistics, the population was recorded at 110,500 during the 2021 census. Notably, Mansfield is the only local authority in Nottinghamshire that features a publicly elected mayor.

About Edwinstowe

Edwinstowe is a village and civil parish located in the Newark and Sherwood district of Nottinghamshire, England, situated on the periphery of Sherwood Forest and the Dukeries. The village is linked to the folklore of Robin Hood and Maid Marian, as well as, to a lesser degree, Edwin of Northumbria, which is the origin of its name. According to the 2011 census, the population of the civil parish was recorded at 5,188. An estimate in 2019 indicated a population of 5,261, while the 2021 census reported a figure of 5,320.
